It is important to have at least one eye exam each year to monitor your eyes for the earliest signs of those complications ranging from hemorrhages to advanced swelling that can lead to scar formation and permanent vision loss. We work in close conjunction with your primary care physician and endocrinologist to develop a plan to keep your blood glucose levels at a manageable level to avoid such problems.
