Contact Lenses

Soft Lenses ( Hydogel or Silicon/Hydrogel): Soft lenses require almost no physical adaptation. For most individuals, full-time wear is achieved quickly and effortlessly. They have, in addition, become the standard for contact lens wear in sports, since these lenses are difficult to dislodge and don't easily allow for dust to get underneath. Available in dozens of materials and even more designs, soft lenses can be made for the vast majority of eye prescriptions. They are available in both daily and extended wear (overnight) options.

Rigid or Gas Permeable Lenses: As the name implies, these lenses are firm. This type of lens can take a bit longer for adaptation however they have wonderful optical properties, and can correct a myriad of conditions that may not be correctible with a soft lens.

Specialty Lenses: Our office employs many different types of specialty contact lenses. We offer colored and tinted lenses. We have bifocal lenses available in both soft as well as rigid designs. We are able to fit many patients that have had corneal transplants or have had a previous refractive surgery. We have access to hybrid lenses that have a soft lens outer ring with a rigid lens center.
